Serving fresh-roasted coffee in De Pere, Wisconsin since 2000.
We search all over the world to find coffee beans that meet our high standards for taste. Our buying practices, however, are about more than just price and purchasing from the biggest corporations. We seek out small estates and buy a selection of beans produced with fair trade standards.
Fair trade practices means farmers and workers who produce our beans are paid a living wage in their countries, which means they can afford the basic necessities of food, shelter, education, and health care. Fair trade also focuses on environmental sustainability and human rights issues.
The Fair Trade Label guarantees consumers that strict economic, social and environmental criteria were met in the production and trade of an agricultural product. Fair Trade is currently available in the U.S. for coffee, tea and herbs, cocoa and chocolate, fresh fruit, flowers, sugar, rice, and vanilla.
Yes, we're only one small coffee shop, but we believe we're part of something incredibly important. And when enough people join together in support of free trade buying practices, we can create great change. Look for the Fair Trade label when purchasing.
